When you want to buy new furniture it can be because you already have a home, but you want to make some changes or perhaps the old sofa has done its job. The other possibility is that you are moving into a new house, that is not even build yet. Depending on the situation you are in, the following information can be useful for you.

In domus we define our products in two categories. We have standard products and products defined by you and your needs.

The standard products are the products that are made in specific measures and colours. These products are normally on the stock in the shops or the central warehouse. This means that we, in most occasions, can deliver within few days or at least within 30 days. However it can happen that there are some products with special high demand, and in this case it can take up to 3 months before the product is available.

The products you define as a customer are ordered directly from the factory and made especially for you. In this case it will take between one and three months.

Possible situations in addition to the delivery of your furniture. When you are moving into a complete new house the construction company sometimes extend the time schedule, which means that we have to postpone the delivery of your furniture. This gives us extra cost for the stock, and of course affects your patience. But to make the best possible solution you have to contact domus regarding the delivery of your furniture at least 15 days before you need it. In this way we will make sure that we can oblige your wishes.

It is also possible that the measures of your apartment or house are not correct, and the furniture you have bought does not fit in. This cause a lot of trouble. It is your own responsibility to make sure that the furniture you buy can get into your home and fits when it is inside, and we are not obligated to take the furniture back. Therefore it is important that you measure your home before you go to the shop, and perhaps bringing the drawing will help so our experts can advise you.

The conclusion is that we recommend you to plan the buying of your furniture in as good time as possible. If it is possible you should begin to plan your purchase up to 4-5 months before your new home is finished if you need a lot of furniture.

Cost for the transport and assembly. Some customers say that delivery and assemblage of the furniture is for free in other shops, but do you think that people who brings out the furniture and make the assembling do not get paid? Or there is no payment for cars, gasoline, insurances and so on? Of course not! The same people also say that it is possible to pay the furniture over 4-6 years without interest in other shops. But if you think about it these costs have to be paid by you in one way or the other. That is why the cost, in many cases, is included in the price of the products.
